HONEYHARP SUMMER HOCKEY CAMP
**UPDATED August 14, 2021
Dear Parents & Campers,
We are disappointed to announce that we do not have enough participants to run our camp this year. It is our hope that 2022 will bring some normalcy to our every day lives and we can run a full hockey camp with a variety of other sports for children to participate in.
Again, we apologize for the cancellation but we are looking forward to our 2022, 3 on 3 season here in Centre Wellington.

With today's ever increasing burden on kids to wade through the myriad of life's problems, there still exists an out let of support out youth. Sports and Athletics are the foundation for skill or the "life lessons" they need to learn. Through organized play, kids gain insight from their athletic experience and when lessons are taught right, these "skills" - being many and varied - transcend the athletic arena and have a direct and measurable impact on the development and outcome for our youth.
HoneyHarp Sports and Athletics aims to give back to the community through mentoring and coaching.
Hockey Camp is cancelled for this year due to low numbers. We look forward to seeing
everyone out to 3 on 3 next spring.
1 on ice sessions each day; 1.5 hours on ice instruction
Programming provided by Kyle Campbell of Soupy's Skill Clinics
Unfortunately there is no off - ice conditioning this year
On ice supervision and direct instruction through a facilitator and support staff
Please note, this camp is not for new skaters.
TBD (plus HST)
Head staff are trained to administer and log medication during the day.
FIRST AID & CPR
First Aid supplies and trained staff are available on site. Each leader carries first aid supples at all times.
LUNCH & SNACK
We have a 5 day cycle of skill based activities taught by local teachers with hockey backgrounds. Logical progressions are made from Monday to Friday with teaching play time integrated in each session. Skating, shooting, puck handling, agility and fun, small area games are adapted to level of play.
TYPICAL DAY AT CAMP
We would ask that campers come to the arena 15 minutes prior to on ice time, fully dressed with only the skates to put on. Leaders and directors will be waiting to campers with skates, parents, we would encourage a kiss-and-go as we'll always make sure kids are on the ice and ready to go on time. Our camp this year is broken down into two separate groups. Younger campers (age 6-8) will be on the ice first and the older campers (9-11) will skate at 1-3pm. We ask that campers not linger in the lobby but rather, leave when parents or guardians arrive at the arena for pick-up.
At this point we do not have direction from the Health unit on number of spectators in the building. Please adhere to local policy guidelines for entry and viewing within the arena.
** We have limited spots in camp this year so we ask that campers DO NOT choose both sessions during the day.
OTHER SPORTS AT HOCKEY CAMP
TBD in 2022
